Being a jazz musician, I study from lead sheets constantly; almost certainly much more than I browse from actual arranged charts. I’ve also had to use lead sheet notation to rearrange charts for ensembles. Ultimately, for a jazz or pop musician, you should know hundreds (or thousands) of tunes, therefore you don’t should read from lead sheets.L
